Balinese believe that the mountains are the home of the Gods, souls of ancestors which did not attain moksa(heaven).
The Gods and souls of the ancestors will descend occasionally to earth during the temple ceremonies to partake of offerings and enjoy the entertainment. Bali is well known as the Island of Gods. Every two hundred and ten days is celebrated the anniversary named Sabuh Mas(Hujan Mas, Golden Rain) on a Tuesday and is named Wage,wuku Sinta according to the Balinese calendar. Hujan Mas means the golden rains, falling down smoothly from the nirvana to touch the earth
and bring all the Gods’ blessings.
